Service Department

New installations, repairs and maintenance, staffed by the same licensed electricians who work our plant and commercial jobs, with a bucket truck for what a scaffold can't reach.

Chapter 01

A service call is not a small construction project.

Lone Star Electric's service department is staffed the same way the rest of the company is: licensed electricians who also work power distribution, controls and standby power jobs across Fort Worth and the Dallas Metroplex. As the company puts it, our service department staffs many employees who are ready to help our customers with their electrical problems.

That covers new installations, repairs and maintenance, from a single circuit that needs tracing to a panel that needs replacing. No job is too big or too small, and the same electricians who spec a plant's power distribution are the ones who show up for a service call.

Bucket truck availability changes what we can reach.

Bucket truck availability is one of the service department's own listed capabilities, and it changes what is practical to take on. Parking lot and site lighting, pole-mounted fixtures, high exteriors and service masts are all work that would otherwise need a rented lift or a scaffold.

For a facility manager, that means the crew that answers the call already has the equipment to reach the fixture, rather than a second call to source a lift company before the work can even start.

Chapter 03

Maintenance is the work that happens before the trouble call.

Scheduled maintenance on electrical gear is inspection work: checking connections, looking for signs of overheating at panels and breakers, and cleaning out gear that has been collecting dust in a plant or mechanical room. None of it is dramatic, which is the point.

It is also the part of the service department's work that is easiest to put off, and the part most likely to be worth doing on a schedule rather than only after something trips.

Office hours and what to have ready when you call.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and closed Saturday and Sunday. Scheduling a service visit starts with a call to 817-335-8044, or 1-866-344-1444 toll free.

It helps to have the address of the building, a description of what stopped working or tripped, and anything that changed recently, like new equipment plugged in or a breaker that has been resetting. That is usually enough for the office to work out what to send and when.
